Ever since our family company started brewing your coffee in 1948, we acknowledge our responsibility to future generations.
By embracing the broad concept of sustainability, we actively reduce our environmental footprint and conserve valuable resources. It is one of the reasons why stainless steel is our go-to material. In itself stainless steel is 100% recyclable. In fact, the majority of all stainless steel materials in the world today have been sourced from scrap materials. Even more so, the production of stainless steel does not produce toxic run-off.
Our facility in Heerhugowaard houses an impressive solar park of 4.600 solar panels. With an annual output of 1,705,000 kWh – the equivalent of over 500 households – we no longer rely on fossil fuels for our electricity and are completely self-sufficient in that regard. Reducing our CO2 emission with 616 tons of CO2 annually. Contributing to our commitment to operate fully CO2 neutral and circulair by 2050.
Our facility in Heerhugowaard has been ISO 14001 certified for environmental management since 2010. Illustrating our ongoing success in this area and demonstrating our effective control of business processes and environmental risks. By continuously taking measures at a policy and organizational level we systematically work on minimizing our impact on the environment.
